To access the functionality of the exchange, you need to log in to your account. To do this, you need to enter your login (e-mail) and password. We recommend that you change your password as often as possible and keep it unavailable for others.
The password can be changed in the "Security" section, which can be accessed by clicking on the account icon in the upper right corner of the exchange.
Next, select the "Change Password" tab in the menu on the left or click the "Edit" button in the Change Password section (first line on the page).
Enter your old password and then choose a new password and fill in all the required fields. For your convenience, there are tips below the new password line to create a strong password. Click "Save."
After that, your account will be automatically logged out and you will need to log in again using the new data.
Please note, if you do not have 2FA activated, withdrawals will be restricted for 72 hours after password change. We recommend securing your account and enabling two-factor authentication, which will also allow you to withdraw funds immediately after changing your password.
Done! You will receive an email notification about the password change.
What should I do if I forget my password and can't access my account?
To reset your password, you can use the "Forgot your password?" function on the login page.
After clicking on it:
- Enter the email to which your WhiteBIT account is registered.
- You will receive an email, open it and go to the password reset form by clicking on the Reset Password button.
- Create a new strong password and enter it. Done! Then you need to log in to your account again using your login and new password.
Important! For security reasons, withdrawals will not be available for 72 hours after the change of security methods. To further protect your account, we recommend activating 2FA and anti-phishing.
