Monitoring your equipment in the Mining Pool is critical to maintaining optimal performance and maximizing your mining rewards. By setting up an Alert System, you can track the performance of your mining equipment and respond quickly to any problems. This manual will walk you through the process of setting up alerts, understanding worker states, and configuring Alert Limits.
Setting Up Monitoring (Alerts): A Step-by-Step Guide
The Mining Pool takes a snapshot of each worker's effectiveness's Hashrate (HR) every five (5) minutes. This value is then compared to the default Alert Limit or the Alert Limit you set when connecting your worker(s). By continuously comparing each worker's HR with the Alert Limit, the system ensures that any significant changes are reported immediately, allowing you to take the necessary actions. When an Alert Limit is triggered, you will receive a push notification and an e-mail.
An Overview of the Process
-
Historical Data Collection:
The Mining Pool snapshots each worker's HR every five (5) minutes. This creates a historical log of each worker's performance, which helps track trends and identify issues. -
Calculating Average Hashrate:
The system calculates each worker's average HR over the last hour. This average value is crucial because it helps determine the worker's expected performance level. -
Setting the Alert Limit:
By default, the Alert Limit is set to 70% of the worker's average HR over the past hour (when the performance of a worker(s) drops by 30%). You can adjust this value based on your specific needs. -
Initial Monitoring Period:
The system won't send alerts indicating a drop from “Active” to “Low” status after a worker is connected for the first hour. This avoids false alerts due to initial fluctuations in performance as the worker stabilizes. -
Continuous Monitoring:
The system continuously compares each worker's current HR to the Alert Limit. If a worker's hashrate falls below the Alert Limit for two consecutive 5-minute intervals, an alert is triggered.
Worker States
Once you enable your worker(s), you will see each worker in one of these states:
State | Description |
Active | The worker’s Hashrate is greater than or equal to the Alert Limit. This is the desired state. If everything works properly and the configuration is correct, you should always see this state. |
Low |
The worker’s Hashrate is below the Alert Limit for the last two consecutive 5-minute intervals. If you see this state for an extended period, please double-check all physical indicators (e.g., power supply, hardware connections, cooling systems). Then, check all connection parameters, and finally, double-check the process of connecting your miner to the Mining Pool. Offline | No Hashrate is detected. Ensure the miner is powered on and connected to the network. |
What Is the Meaning of Different Payout Statuses?
Status | Description |
Pending | Your reward will be processed and credited to your Main balance on WhiteBIT within 24 hours. |
Successful | This status confirms that your payment is complete, and your rewards have been successfully transferred to your Main balance on WhiteBIT. |
Canceled | If your rewards show as “Canceled,” it suggests an issue with the payment process. This could be due to various reasons, including network problems or other technical difficulties. In such cases, it is advisable to contact the Support Team for assistance. |
