Nóva Card Settings and Security

Card Settings

The Nova settings section is located in the top right corner of the screen. Swipe left to see the card settings:

  • Freeze/Unfreeze: Allows you to temporarily block or unblock the card
  • Change the card design
  • Card benefits and limits
  • Terms of use
  • Card limits: Daily limit and monthly limit
  • Change PIN: This step is supported only for the plastic card version

Please note: If you forgot your PIN, you can find it on the Nova card page in the “Card settings” section (swipe right after you reach the main screen). Just click “Show PIN,” and you will be able to see it.

The daily limit, which is set at 10,000 EUR per day, determines the maximum daily amount available for spending.

The monthly limit, which is set at 25,000 EUR per month, determines the maximum monthly amount available for spending.

For full information about card fees and limits, see Nova card fees, limits and restricted MCCs article.

Click the “View Details” button if you need to see the card's details, such as the card number, expiry date, and CVV code.

You can also activate the confirmation feature for online payments in the “Card Security” section. This way, before funds are debited when paying for services/goods on the Internet, you will be able to cancel the transaction if you are unsure about the payment.

By disabling the “Allow Online Payments Without Confirmation” switch in this section, you can activate the mechanism to block transactions that go through without 3D Secure (protection against unauthorized charges). Payments without extra confirmation will be declined.

Please note: to activate a physical card, make your first purchase using the card and enter your PIN. The virtual card will be activated after the first purchase (i.e., you have to make a purchase to get full access to the card's functionality).

To freeze/unfreeze your card, follow these instructions:

1. In the mobile app, go to the tab with the card skin and select the card you want to freeze/unfreeze (physical or virtual) at the top of the page.
2. At the bottom, in the “Card settings” section, click “Freeze” or “Unfreeze”.

This way, you can temporarily block your card and further transactions on it.

Card Closure Due to Inactivity

If the card has not been used for 3 months, it will be automatically closed. If there are transactions on one of the cards but not on another, the other card will not be closed, since activity is tracked by the account, not by each individual card.

In case of automatic card closure, the cashback amount will remain on the card's cashback balance. After reopening the card, this balance will be displayed in the corresponding tab.

If your card was closed due to inactivity, you will see a corresponding notification on the card dashboard.

Reactivation of the Nova card is available for an additional fee of 5 EUR. To get the card (both virtual and physical) again, click the “Reactivate” button on the card dashboard, choose a payment method (Main Balance, Google Pay, or Apple Pay), and confirm reactivation.

A warning about the card reactivation fee is also displayed in the “Card Benefits and Limits” section.

WhiteBIT Nova reissuance

Starting March 23, 2026, the reissuance process for WhiteBIT Nova cards will begin for users with a verified Ukrainian address (PoA).

This update is introduced to provide greater flexibility for future limit increases, support product growth, and enable participation in new promotional campaigns.

Reissuance of a physical card is carried out at the user’s expense (delivery fee only). As a bonus, users will receive 3% cashback on all transactions for one month.

To reissue your card, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the relevant notification on the dashboard.

  1. Press the “Start migration” button.

Users have one month to complete the reissuance. If the process is not completed within this period, the virtual card will be reissued automatically, while the physical card will be closed. A new physical card can be ordered afterward.

Please note: after reissuance, all subscriptions must be manually reconnected to the new card.
