Common reasons for canceling a payment

Payment can be cancelled for several reasons. The most common reasons include:
 

• Insufficient funds: Ensure that there are enough funds on the main balance (not the trading balance), including the fee.
• Exceeded limits: The payment may exceed your daily or monthly limit. You can check the current values and the remaining limit on the card dashboard.
• Limited services: Some services are not supported. Payments with MCC codes that are not allowed for this card will be automatically rejected.
• Security restrictions: If you have recently changed your password or disabled 2FA, your account may be subject to a withdrawal restriction for 72 hours. Wait for the restriction to lift automatically before trying again.
• Online payment restrictions: If online payments without additional confirmation are disabled in your card settings, such transactions will be automatically declined. You can allow online payments without extra confirmation in the app:

1. Go to the Nova card section.
2. Swipe left to see the Card Settings.
3. Click “Card Security”.
4. Activate the toggle.

• Incorrect card details: Online payments can fail if your card details are entered incorrectly. Double-check your card number, expiry date, and CVV code.
• Closed card: If your Nova USD card has been closed at your request, it will no longer work for payments.
• Technical issue: Payments can fail due to temporary technical issues. Try again in a few moments.
• Merchant decline: Transactions may be declined by the receiving party. In this case, you can contact the merchant to clarify the details.
• The Nova USD card is not available for use in this country.
