To access the functionality of the exchange, you need to log in to your account. To do this, you need to enter your login (e-mail) and password. We recommend that you change your password as often as possible and keep it unavailable for others.
The password can be changed in the "Security" section, which can be accessed by clicking on the account icon in the upper right corner of the exchange.
Next, select the "Change Password" tab in the menu on the left or click the "Edit" button in the Change Password section (first line on the page).
Enter your old password and then choose a new password and fill in all the required fields. For your convenience, there are tips below the new password line to create a strong password. Click "Save."
After that, your account will be automatically logged out and you will need to log in again using the new data.
Please note: if 2FA or Passkey are not enabled, fund withdrawals are temporarily restricted for 72 hours after a password change. We recommend securing your account and enabling two-factor authentication, which will also allow you to withdraw funds immediately after changing your password.
If you wish to lift restrictions before the end of a 72-hour block, you have to submit a request to support via support@whitebit.com or by creating a ticket.
Done! You will receive an email notification about the password change.
What should I do if I forget my password and can't access my account?
To reset your password, you can use the "Forgot Password?" function on the login page.
After clicking on it:
Enter the email to which your WhiteBIT account is registered.
You will receive an email, open it, and go to the password reset form by clicking the Reset Password button.
Create a new strong password and enter it. Done! Then, you need to log in to your account again using your login and new password.
Important! When using the ‘Forgot your password?’ feature, withdrawals will be temporarily restricted for 72 hours for security reasons even with 2FA or Passkey enabled. To avoid this restriction, you must change your password only in your account settings with 2FA or Passkey enabled.
