Features of the 'Holding' and 'Owning' functionality of WBT Coin on WhiteBIT

WBT provides benefits in two ways: coins can be held on the Main Balance or transferred to Holding. This article explains how these modes differ and how they work together.

Two Ways to Receive Benefits

  • Owning — coins are held on the Main Balance.
  • Holding — coins are locked in Holding.

Tables detailing the benefits for each level of Owning and Holding can be found in the article "Terms of discounts and limits for WBT in Holding".

How Owning and Holding Work Together

  • To have your coins counted toward Owning, simply hold them on your Main Balance.
  • Coins transferred to Holding are simultaneously counted toward Owning as well. In this case, both sets of benefits apply.
  • Coins in the process of being unheld are counted as Owning coins and cease to be counted as Holding coins.

Your level and available benefits are displayed on the WBT Program page under the Holding tab.

Generating Additional Deposit Addresses

Users who have transferred WBT to Holding can generate multiple addresses for each network in the deposit window. This feature is available starting from the first Holding level, and the number of available addresses increases as your level rises.

To obtain a new address, click the "Generate new address" button in the deposit window for the selected coin. The number of available addresses is displayed next to the button.

A list of all addresses is accessible in Address History or via the corresponding button in the deposit window.

When a new address is generated, the previous address is moved to Address History. The old address remains valid for deposits: the history displays all addresses to which deposits were made within 12 months of creation.

Please note: the additional address generation feature does not apply to institutional users.
