Depositing of EUR SEPA balance on the WhiteBIT exchange

SEPA (Single Euro Payment Area) – common EUR payments space; a payment standard used in the European Union and a few other countries that are not part of it. In this space, all EUR payments are made on the same terms both within a particular country and in other European countries that are part of the SEPA space. 

 

In this article, you will learn how to deposit EUR using this payment method and the provider of SEPA Clear Junction or FINCI.

Features of deposits 

  • When making a transaction, you should consider the minimum (10 EUR) and maximum (14 500 EUR per day) deposit amounts, as well as pay attention to the commission, which depends on the choice of provider. You can also find this information on the Fees page. 
  • Since this provider also belongs to the same group as Visa/Mastercard, Checkout Visa/Mastercard, ZEN, the total daily limit for transactions in this group (SEPA, SEPA Clear Junction, SEPA FINCI) is 14 500 EUR. 
  • From the moment the payment data is generated, you have 7 days to make the payment after which it will be impossible to make the transfer. All sent funds will be returned to the bank.
  • The owner of an account at the exchange can only top up his/her balance with EUR SEPA if the name and surname indicated in the KYC (identity verification) match the name and surname of the account holder at the bank.

Please note: when depositing from a third-party account, the payment will be returned to the sender. Refund terms – 5 business days from the moment the funds are received by the exchange. 

  • The timeframe for receipt of funds is up to 7 bank business days. 

Please note that at the moment EUR SEPA Clear Junction deposit is available only for citizens and residents of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Ukraine. 

How to deposit EUR SEPA on the website

In order to make a deposit of EUR SEPA, please follow the next simple instructions:

1. Go to the Balances page.

On the main page of the website, click on “Balances” and select “Total” or “Main”.

 2. Select EUR SEPA provider.

Find the currency by the “EUR” ticker and click on it. Or select the “Deposit” option and choose EUR from the list of currencies.

 

Then select “SEPA transfer” provider in the deposit form.

 

3. Deposit formation.

Enter the deposit amount in the “Amount” field and click the “Generate and send payment” button. 

Please note that the “I will receive” field will display the amount you will receive on your account balance after calculating the fee.

 

To send funds, copy invoice data from the “Payment sent” window and paste it into your banking application. Payment details are generated individually for each deposit.

 

 

4. Confirm the sender's data.

To deposit EUR SEPA, the first and last names of the sender of the funds must match the first and last names provided in the payment details. Otherwise, the payment will not be credited.  

5. Transaction status monitoring.

You can track the status of your deposit on the “History” page located at the top of the website (“Deposits” tab). 

How to deposit EUR SEPA in the application

In order to make a deposit of EUR SEPA, please follow the next simple instructions:

1. Navigation to the Balances page.

Go to the “Wallet” tab from the application’s main tab and go to the “Total” or “Main” section.

 

2. EUR SEPA provider selection.

Find the currency by the “EUR” ticker and click on it. Or select the “Deposit” option and choose EUR from the list of currencies.

 

Click on the “Deposit” button, and choose the “SEPA transfer” provider in the deposit form. Click on the “Continue” button. 

 

 

3. Deposit formation.

Enter the deposit amount in the “Amount” field and click the “Generate and send payment” button. Please note that the “I will receive” field will display the amount you will receive on your account balance after calculating the fee.

 

  

To send funds, copy invoice data from the “Payment sent” window and paste it into your banking application. Payment details are generated individually for each deposit.

 

4. Confirmation of the sender’s data.

Please note that the first and last names of the sender of the funds must match the first and last names provided in the payment details. Otherwise, the payment will not be credited.  

5. Transaction status monitoring.

To track the deposit status using our mobile app, you need to:

  • open the “Wallet” tab and click the “History” button;
  • select the “Deposit” tab and find the transaction you want.  

Deposit of EUR SEPA Clear Junction

In addition to the standard method of SEPA deposits, a separate provider for EUR transactions – Clear Junction – is also available on our exchange. The main difference is that SEPA and SEPA Clear Junction methods are supported by different banks. 

 

Clear Junction is a global payment provider through which it is possible to deposit and withdraw EUR from our exchange in two ways: SEPA Clear Junction and SEPA Instant Clear Junction. 

How to deposit EUR SEPA Clear Junction on the website

To make deposit through this provider on the WhiteBIT website, please follow the simple instructions:

  1. Go to the balances page. 

 

  1. Find the currency by the “EUR” ticker and click on it. Or select the “Deposit” option and choose EUR from the list of currencies.

 

  1. In the provider list, select EUR SEPA Clear Junction.

Important: for EUR deposits, the SEPA Instant Clear Junction option is not implemented, which allows you to make the transaction faster at any time. However, in case your bank supports Instant transfers, if you select EUR SEPA Clear Junction, your transaction will be processed faster as an Instant payment in any case.  

  1. Enter the deposit amount in the “Amount” field and click the “Generate and send payment” button. To send funds, copy invoice data from the “Payment sent” window and paste it into your banking application.

Please note: when depositing by Clear Junction method, an individual IBAN is created for each user. 

Done! Now you can track your deposit in the History section. 

Deposit EUR SEPA Clear Junction in the app

To make deposit through this provider in the WhiteBIT app, please follow the simple instructions:

 

  1. Go to the Wallet tab and click Deposit. 

  1. Find EUR in the list, or enter the EUR ticker in the search bar and then click on it.

  1. Select the EUR SEPA Clear Junction provider and click Continue.

  1. Enter the deposit amount in the “Amount” field and click the “Generate and send payment” button. To send funds, copy invoice data from the “Payment sent” window and paste it into your banking application.

Done! In the “Wallet” – “History” section, you will be able to see the details of your payment in the “Main” – “Deposits” tab. 

The fee when depositing EUR SEPA Clear Junction is 0.1%! You can check this information on the Fees page. 

 

Please note: in order for your transaction to be processed, the identity verification (KYC) must be completed in the standard way.  If you have passed KYC through Diya provider, please click the "Update Verification" button in the recharge window. After passing KYC again, you can top up your EUR balance by SEPA Clear Junction method.

EUR SEPA FINCI Deposit

Another provider for depositing EUR is SEPA FINCI. In this article, we will tell you about the main conditions and limits when using this deposit method.  

To top up your EUR SEPA FINCI balance on the website: 

  1. Go to the Balances page. 

  1. Find EUR in the list of currencies, enter the EUR ticker in the search bar, and then click on the Deposit button.

  1. Select EUR SEPA FINCI in the list of providers.

  1. Enter the payment amount in the “Amount” field click “Create and send payment”. To send funds, copy the information from the “Payment sent” window and paste it into your banking application.

Please note: when depositing using the FINCI method, a single IBAN is provided for each user – LT113420001000054387, which belongs to UAB Clear White Technologies. 

Done! Now you can track your deposits in the History section.

To make EUR SEPA FINCI deposit in the app: 

  1. Go to the Wallet tab and click “Deposit”. 

  1. Search for EUR in the list, or enter the EUR ticker in the search bar and then click on it.

  1. Select the EUR provider SEPA FINCI.

  1. Enter the payment amount in the “Amount” field and click “Create and send payment”. To send funds, copy the information from the “Payment sent” window and paste it into your banking application.

 

Done! In the “Wallet” – “History” section, you can see the details of your payment in the “Main”– “Deposit” tab. 

Currently, there is no fee for EUR SEPA FINCI deposit! You can see this information in the deposit window and on the Fees page.

Source of Funds

In the EUR SEPA and EUR SEPA Clear Junction deposit window you will see a notice that if the transaction amount or daily volume exceeds EUR 14,500, you will be asked to submit a SOF. This is a requirement of our partner bank. You can find the list of eligible documents under the icon :info:, by hovering over it.

A document proving the source of the funds may be:

 

  • an annual tax declaration;
  • an original or certified copy of a recent pay slip;
  • written confirmation of annual salary signed by an employer;
  • an original or certified copy of contract of sale of immovable property and an original extract from a financial institution evidencing the reception of funds obtained from selling the immovable property, if available;
  • an original or certified copy of a will or an equivalent document evidencing the inheritance;
  • an original or certified copy of a donation agreement (either in a simple written form, or certified by a notary public in case notarial form of agreement is required by law);
  • an original or certified copy of a loan agreement (either in a simple written form, or certified by a notary public in case notarial form of agreement is required by law), and extract from a financial institution evidencing the reception or sending of funds related to receiving the loan or receiving the pay-back of a granted loan; or a promissory note (either in a simple written form, or certified by a notary public in case notarial form of agreement is required by law);
  • an internet search of a company registry to confirm the sale of a company;
  • original or a certified copy of the deposit agreement;
  • cash book or cash operations register (for legal persons);

Important! You can download SoF when depositing in the corresponding field in the deposit window.
