WhiteBIT Nóva is a WhiteBIT Visa debit card that allows spending crypto to pay for any daily purchases.
Why Nóva? It’s a new star, a new beginning, and a world of possibilities. This card opens the door to seamless, instant transactions, breaking down barriers between you and the digital asset world. Nova isn’t just a tool—it’s a whole new way to use crypto for spending.
The card enables you to use crypto for spending directly from the exchange, providing convenience and efficiency for everyday transactions. It's a great solution for those who wish to use their crypto assets for daily spending automatically without the need to convert them to fiat beforehand and engage in a long-term withdrawal process. WhiteBIT Nova allows for instant use of crypto for spending, saving you time and streamlining the management of your digital assets.
Please note that WhiteBIT Visa debit cards are intended only for payments for goods and services. Fund transfers between cards and to other bank cards are not supported.
The card is available for users from the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Ukraine.
With the WhiteBIT Nova card, you can make purchases in any country except those included in the list of forbidden countries.
How to Get a Card?
Only registered WhiteBIT users who have successfully completed Level 3 (Advanced/WhiteBIT Nova) identity verification (or Level 2 for users from EU countries) can apply for a card. Applying for a card is free of charge.
Please note: the WhiteBIT Nova card is not available in all countries. In some regions, even if documents are accepted for Level 1 (Basic) and Level 2 (Professional) identity verification (KYC), ordering the card may not be possible.
As a result, during the Advanced/WhiteBIT Nova KYC process required to obtain the card, your country may not appear in the list of available countries.
If you do not see your country in the list during the Advanced/WhiteBIT Nova KYC process, but it is not on the list of forbidden countries and territories, you can complete Basic or Professional verification level and use the main features of the exchange.

Shipping details for physical cards
After submitting a request to receive a physical card, detailed delivery information will be available in the mobile app. In order to view it, please follow the below-mentioned instructions:
- Go to the screen with the skin of your physical card and click on “Track Card Delivery”, or go to the balance tab and click on “Delivery details”.
- After that, a tab with the detailed delivery information will open:
- Order date;
- Delivery;
- Street;
- Unit, flat or floor number;
- Region;
- Postcode;
- Country;
- Tracking number (only for DHL Standard or DHL Express);
- “Track Delivery” button (only for DHL Standard or DHL Express), which allows you to track delivery in real time.
Please note: your digital card will be available immediately, while the physical card may take up to 45 working days to arrive due to the large number of card applications. A fee is charged for the issuance of a physical card depending on the delivery provider selected:
- DHL Standard
Amount: 20 EUR
Delivery time: 3-6 working days
Tracking number is supported
- DHL Express
Amount: 40 EUR
Delivery time: 2-4 business days
Tracking number is supported
- Standard mail
Amount: 12 EUR
Delivery time: up to 45 working days
Tracking number is not supported
If you choose standard mail, you will not receive any system notifications about whether the parcel has arrived.
To check if the card has been delivered, we recommend you to check your mailbox periodically. Alternatively, you can track your parcel with your local postal service.
You can also contact your local post office and provide your postal code to check if the parcel has arrived.
If you have not received the card within the specified delivery period, you first need to freeze the physical card in its settings in the card image tab. After that, contact our support team (send an email to support@whitebit.com), describe your request in detail and provide consent to close the physical card. A new card can be issued after the current card is closed.
Activation of a physical card
Card activation is available in the “Card settings” section on the main screen of the app. You just have to press the “Unfreeze” button.
After that, the card may not work during the first contactless payment, so you need to follow these steps:
- Insert the card into the terminal.
- Enter the PIN code.
-
The payment should go through, and all subsequent transactions will be made contactless.
Alternatively, you can make any ATM transaction with your card after activating it in the app. This can also be considered activation for further contactless payment.
Until the card is activated, it is considered inactive and there are no functions on it (e.g. PIN change or block/unblock availability, etc.).
After activating the card in the WhiteBIT app, you can add it to your Google or Apple Pay wallet and make contactless payments via NFC without waiting for physical delivery.
Home Screen
Once the card is set up, you'll immediately access the following features on the home screen:
- The total balance in EUR and USDC equivalents;
- Spending Power — the amount that can be instantly converted for card payments (Main asset balance);
- Asset tokens available for payments.
- “Deposit,” “Convert,” and “Transfer” buttons;
- Accumulated cashback;
- Expense analytics;
- Transaction history and statuses.
- Spending analytics widget to assess your spending structure and accrued cashback;
For extra privacy, you can hide your balance and cashback by tapping on the amount. The card background automatically blurs based on the selected design.
Total Balance
The total amount available for payment is shown in EUR and is dynamically calculated based on your selected assets available on your Main balance on the exchange. The balance is refreshed frequently to ensure you always have the most up-to-date information.
Please note: WhiteBIT Nova debit cards are intended solely for the payment of goods and services. Transfers of funds between cards or to other bank cards are not supported. When making payments with the card, the available balance from your exchange account is automatically deducted. Thus, all transactions are carried out within the available balance, with no option to top up the card directly.
Spending power
This feature provides users with a transparent and convenient tool for understanding their total financial capacity. It takes into account not only the card's main balance but also the value of supported assets available for conversion, allowing you to determine the total amount that can be spent right now.
Details of this feature are available on the main tab under the total balance amount. Clicking on the lightning symbol will open a pop-up window with a brief description of the feature. After reading this information, you can proceed to the list of available supported assets on the main balance. In this tab, you can see the total balance and the amount in EUR equivalent that will be available to you after converting assets, as well as the cashback potential (the amount of potential cashback if the selected assets are converted and spent). You can also select specific coins that you want to convert. After that, you need to click “Continue” and confirm the conversion transaction. The corresponding amount will immediately appear on your card balance.
Thus, the spending power feature allows you to activate unused funds, get the most out of cashback and always have a clear idea of your financial capabilities.
Available Assets
The asset tickers available for payments are listed under the balance sheet. When paying, the assets will be debited in the order they appear in the list, directly from the user's exchange balance. In the “Spending Priority” section, you can adjust the order in which assets are used. For example, if USDC is listed first, it will be spent first; if BTC is listed second, it will be spent after USDC, and so on. All assets available for payment are listed as follows:
USDC, BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, NEAR, ADA, AVAX, WBT, DOGE, EURI and EURR.
Tick the ones you want to use and save the settings.
Please note: All payments in the selected asset are converted to EUR through Convert directly, but only for USDT, there is a cross-conversion USDT → USDC and then USDC → EUR.
Card top-up
After clicking the “Deposit” button, a window will open to select a card top-up method. The following options are available:
-
Apple/Google Pay
Supports debit and credit cards. A fast top-up method without entering card details manually. -
Crypto
Fee: 0%. Top up your card directly from your cryptocurrency balance. -
Bank transfer
Fee: 0.1%. Top up via standard bank transfer. -
Convert to Spending
Displays the available amount for exchange. Allows you to convert funds from the main balance to card purchasing power.
Cashback
Cashback balance is displayed at the top of the screen as a gift icon. The maximum cashback limit is 25 EUR per month, but you can withdraw it when you have accumulated at least 5 USDC. This means that if you reach your cashback limit even on the first day, it will not be credited until the beginning of the next month.
Each category specifies the MCC codes of stores where cashback is credited. To receive cashback, the store must be on the MCC code list of the selected category. If the store code does not match, cashback will not be credited.
The accumulated cashback is shown in BTC or WBT, with the option to change the currency after each cashback withdrawal.
You can also block/unblock merchants. You can block a particular merchant. Once blocked, this merchant will not be able to charge funds from your balance. Such canceled transactions will be displayed to the user in the history.
Please note: Merchant category codes (MCCs) are four-digit numbers that credit card issuers use to classify individual purchases according to the type of merchant where they were made. The codes serve a variety of purposes, including the calculation and issuance of credit card rewards.
Cashback may not be credited if the merchant’s MCC does not match our categories.
The amount of cashback % can change dynamically, so you should always check its values in the application. You can also select 3 active categories. You can pick your cashback categories once every 7 days; upon changing, you will see a corresponding notification. Just keep in mind that changes might take up to 24 hours to show up.
Cashback is not credited for transactions made in territories that are restricted for the use of WhiteBIT services.

Expense Analysis
In order to access the expense analysis tab, do the following:
- Tap the chart icon in the top right corner or "Last Transactions" on the main screen.
- In the upper right corner, you will find a chart icon. Click on it to see all expenses as a percentage, grouped by the selected time range.
In this window, you can also download a file (CSV or PDF) with the transaction history for a certain period. To do this, click on Download Statement.
The minimum period for generating a report is 1 day, and the maximum is 1 year. You can select the period you need and click Accept.
The .csv table will contain the following information about transactions:
- ID;
- Date and time of the transaction;
- Status;
- Amount in EUR;
- Merchant;
- MCC code;
- Category;
- Cashback amount;
- Cashback currency.
The .pdf file of the table will contain the following information about the transactions:
- Date;
- Merchant;
- Status;
- Amount spent in EUR.
Both files are not automatically sent to your email - you can choose where to send them or save them directly to your device.
Transactions and Statuses
Below the accumulated cashback section, all transactions are displayed with their respective category labels and processing statuses. Clicking on a transaction lets you view its details, including asset, date, category, and blockchain transaction ID (TXID). To see the full list of transactions, click on the “View all” button.
The transaction status reflects the current state of the payment. A transaction can be:
Canceled means a partially or fully reversed transaction. In this case, part or all of the funds are refunded in EUR. Since the balance is displayed in EUR, the refund will not be reflected in the card’s total balance. In such cases, the app will automatically prompt you to convert the refund to USDC.
Declined means that the transaction cannot be completed due to a decision of WhiteBIT or the provider. Transactions are also rejected when the spending limit is reached.
Completed means that the transaction is still in a processing state.
Successful means that the transaction was cleared successfully.
Please note that cashback will only be credited once the transaction is fully completed, and processing may take some time.
Common reasons for canceling a payment
Payment can be cancelled for several reasons. Please check the following:
- Balance: Ensure that there are enough funds on the main balance (not the trading balance), including the fee.
- Limits: The payment may exceed your daily or monthly limit. You can check the current values and the remaining limit on the card dashboard.
- Online limits: Your card may have a limit on online payments. Check the settings.
- Limited services: Some services are not supported. Payments with MCC codes that are not allowed for this card will be automatically rejected.
- Security restrictions: If you have recently changed your password or disabled 2FA, your account may be subject to a withdrawal restriction for 72 hours.
-
Incorrect PIN (for a physical card): Ensure that you have entered the correct PIN code and, if necessary, verify it against the information in the application. If the PIN code is a perfect match and the error persists, use the following instructions:
- Change the PIN code in the mobile application.
Please note: You can change the PIN code in the “Card settings” section below the card image. Click “Change PIN”.
- Open the app and update your card PIN.
- Go to an ATM (Automated Teller Machine, which is used for banking tasks like withdrawing cash or checking your balance). Do not use a POS terminal (Point of Sale device, which is meant for merchants to accept card payments for purchases).
- Insert the card into the ATM and carry out an operation using the new PIN. For example, check your balance or make a cash withdrawal.
- After that, the system will write the new PIN code to the card chip.
- Use the card again to make purchases at POS terminals with the new PIN code.
-
The payment failed because the WhiteBIT Nóva card is not available for use in this country.

What to do if you haven’t received a refund?
A refund is the return of funds for a transaction — a payment that is sent back by the merchant to the customer for goods or services. Refunds are usually processed when the item was not delivered, is defective, does not match the description, or the service was provided with poor quality.
To have such a refund credited to your balance, in most cases you will need to personally contact WhiteBIT support service.
Card Settings
The Nova settings section is located in the top right corner of the screen. Swipe left to see the card settings:
- Freeze/Unfreeze: Allows you to temporarily block or unblock the card;
- Change the card design;
- Card benefits and limits;
- Terms of use;
- Card limits: Daily limit and monthly limit;
-
Change PIN: This step is supported only for the plastic card version.
Please note: If you forgot your PIN, you can find it on the WhiteBIT Nova card page in the “Card settings” section (swipe right after you reach the main screen). Just click “Show PIN” and you will be able to see it.
The daily limit, which is set at 10,000 EUR per day, determines the maximum daily amount available for spending.
The monthly limit, which is set at 25,000 EUR per month, determines the maximum monthly amount available for spending.
Click the “View Details” button if you need to see the card's details, such as the card number, expiry date, and CVV code.
You can also activate the confirmation feature for online payments in the “Card Security” section. This way, before funds are debited when paying for services/goods on the Internet, you will be able to cancel the transaction if you are unsure about the payment.
Please note: to activate a physical card, make your first purchase using the card and enter your PIN. The virtual card will be activated after the first purchase (i.e., you have to make a purchase to get full access to the card's functionality).
If the card has not been used for 3 months, it will be automatically closed. If there are transactions on one of the cards, but not on the other, the other card will not be blocked, as the activity on the account is monitored, not on each card. After deactivating the card, it will need to be ordered again, but users from Ukraine will not have to wait in the waiting list again if the card has already been issued earlier.
In case of automatic card closure, the cashback amount will remain on the card's cashback balance. After reopening the card, this balance will be displayed in the corresponding tab.
To freeze/unfreeze your card, follow these instructions:
1. In the mobile app, go to the tab with the card skin and select the card you want to freeze/unfreeze (physical or virtual) at the top of the page.
2. At the bottom, in the “Card settings” section, click “Freeze” or “Unfreeze”.
This way, you can temporarily block your card and further transactions on it.
Card Closure Due to Inactivity
If the card has not been used for 3 months, it will be automatically closed. If there are transactions on one of the cards but not on another, the other card will not be closed, since activity is tracked by the account, not by each individual card.
In case of automatic card closure, the cashback amount will remain on the card's cashback balance. After reopening the card, this balance will be displayed in the corresponding tab.
If your card was closed due to inactivity, you will see a corresponding notification on the card dashboard.
Reactivation of the WhiteBIT Nova card is available for an additional fee of 5 EUR. To get the card (both virtual and physical cards) again, click the “Reactivate” button on the card dashboard, choose a payment method (Main Balance, Google Pay, or Apple Pay), and confirm reactivation.
A warning about the card reactivation fee is also displayed in the “Card Benefits and Limits” section.
