Users of our platform can request an account ownership certificate for submission to a bank, payment system, or other financial or official institutions. These requests are processed in accordance with our internal procedures and require the necessary documents and user consent.
Where to submit your request?
To obtain an account ownership certificate, please contact our support team by sending an email to support@whitebit.com or by creating a ticket.
It is important that you send the request from the email address linked to your WhiteBIT account.
Please note: requests sent via online chat will not be accepted. Please send them by email or via the ticket.
What information to include in your request
To process your request, please include the following details in your email:
- the purpose of obtaining a certificate;
- name of the institution where the certificate will be submitted (e.g. name of the bank or platform);
- if the certificate is intended for another organisation (not a bank), screenshots of a direct request from that institution or platform must be provided;
- preferred language of the certificate: English or Ukrainian;
- to obtain a statement for specific transactions, please specify the hash/ID of the transaction or the required period of its execution;
- your consent to personal data processing. That is, indicate in the text of the email “I consent to the processing of personal data”.
Please note: if you need a statement for personal purposes, you can generate it yourself by going to the “History” section and clicking “Export”. Check out our article for more information.
Required Documents
To issue an account ownership certificate, we require a copy of your passport or ID card (photos of both sides). That is, if you used one of these documents during verification, you do not need to send additional documents. If you completed KYC verification using a driver’s license, you’ll need to provide an additional document confirming your citizenship.
There are two options for providing documents depending on the language of the certificate you are requesting:
1. Certificate in English
If you need a certificate in English and your verification document (e.g. an old-style Ukrainian internal passport) does not contain a transliteration of your first and last name, please provide another document confirming the official translation of your full name into English.
2. Certificate in Ukrainian
If you need a certificate in Ukrainian, your verification document must contain your full name. If you used a foreign passport that does not contain your patronymic name to pass KYC verification, you will need to send another document that contains your full name.
What information can be included in the certificate?
Upon request, the account ownership certificate can include the following:
- successful deposits;
- successful withdrawals;
- active crypto lending plans;
- closed crypto lending plans;
- executed orders;
- current account balance.
Other data will not be included in the certificate.
Please note: the standard processing time for account ownership certificate requests is up to 7 business days.
