Whitechain Mainnet is the main network of the Whitechain blockchain, where real transactions are carried out, tokens are created, smart contracts are deployed, and decentralised applications (dApps) operate. It is a network in which digital assets have real value.
What is Mainnet?
Mainnet is the main blockchain network of the project, in which all transactions are verified and stored in the blockchain on an ongoing basis. The launch of Mainnet is an important stage in the development of any blockchain project, because from this moment on, all transactions become real and irreversible.
Each Mainnet has its own cryptocurrency, which is used to pay fees, incentivise network participants, or execute smart contracts. However, not all tokens operate on their own network. For example, ERC-20 tokens operate within the Ethereum blockchain, taking advantage of its security and infrastructure. This allows developers to create and manage their own assets without having to launch a separate blockchain, ensuring convenience, scalability, and interoperability within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Mainnet components
Each Mainnet in the cryptocurrency sphere operates based on a specific consensus algorithm — a system of rules that determines how transactions are verified and added to the blockchain. This mechanism guarantees network security, prevents fraud, and ensures data consistency among all participants.
The most common consensus algorithms are Proof of Work (PoW), Proof of Stake (PoS) and Proof-of-Authority (PoA). The main components of a blockchain network that ensure its operation are:
- Nodes are key elements of any blockchain, including the mainnet. They are represented by computers or servers that support the network, store a full or partial copy of the blockchain, and participate in transaction verification.
- Blocks are structural units of the blockchain that contain a set of confirmed transactions. Each new block includes the hash of the previous one, forming a continuous chain that guarantees the integrity and immutability of data in the network.
- Transactions are any actions performed by users on the blockchain: transferring cryptocurrency between addresses, interacting with smart contracts, or other operations. All transactions are grouped into blocks, verified, and recorded on the blockchain. Each transaction receives a unique identifier (TxID), which allows it to be easily tracked in the system.
Whitechain Network Overview
Whitechain is a Layer-1 blockchain compatible with EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), built on the Go-Ethereum (Geth) protocol. The network is part of the WhiteBIT exchange ecosystem and uses its native token, WhiteBIT Coin (WBT).
Main technical features of the network:
- Fast block creation — approximately every 2 seconds.
- Low transaction fees make the network suitable for micropayments and large-scale dApps.
- Compatibility with Ethereum — supports standard tools such as Solidity, MetaMask, Hardhat, Truffle, etc.
- Native token: WhiteBIT Coin (WBT), used to pay fees (gas).
- Main network Chain ID: 1875.
Please note: the main network (Mainnet) is an environment where all transactions are real, unlike the test network (Testnet), which is designed for testing without the risk of loss.
What is Whitechain Explorer and how do I use it?
Whitechain Explorer is the official web browser for the Whitechain blockchain. It provides complete transparency about what is happening on the network: what transactions are being executed, what blocks are being created, what smart contracts are running, and so on.
Main features of Whitechain Explorer:
- Search by address, token, or transaction hash. You can view your balance, transaction history, smart contracts, and interactions.
- Viewing blocks and transactions. Data on the time of creation, sender, recipient, amount, commission paid, and execution status are displayed.
- Verification of smart contracts. Developers can download the contract source code so that users can view it directly.
- Integration with wallets (e.g., MetaMask). Explorer helps you automatically add Whitechain to your wallet.
How to use Whitechain Explorer:
- Go to: https://explorer.whitechain.io.
- Enter the wallet address, token, or transaction hash in the search bar.
- Check out the details:
- for transactions — status, block, time, amount, fee, sender/recipient;
- for addresses — balance, transaction history, interactions with smart contracts.
- To verify the smart contract, go to the “Verify Contract” section and upload the code with the correct compiler settings.
- To add Whitechain to MetaMask, enter the following parameters manually or use the automatic connection:
- Network Name — Whitechain
- RPC URL — https://rpc.whitechain.io
- Chain ID — 1875
- Symbol — WBT
- Block Explorer URL — https://explorer.whitechain.io
Related services of the Whitechain ecosystem
The Whitechain ecosystem includes not only the main blockchain network, but also additional services that make using the network easier and more profitable for users:
- Whitewallet is the official crypto wallet of the WhiteBIT ecosystem, designed for secure interaction with the Whitechain network. It allows you to:
- store, send and receive WBT and other Whitechain network tokens;
- interact with smart contracts and decentralised applications (dApps);
- participate in programmes such as SoulDrop directly from the wallet interface;
- easily connect to the Whitechain network without manual RPC configuration.
Whitewallet is available as a mobile application and as a browser extension compatible with MetaMask-like dApps.
- SoulDrop is a special reward program within the WhiteBIT and Whitechain ecosystem that allows users to receive bonuses, tokens, or other benefits for certain activities on the network. The SoulDrop mechanism is linked to the WB Soul system, which records your actions in the ecosystem (token ownership, participation in voting, use of Whitewallet, etc.) and provides users with a unique activity identifier.
Key benefits of SoulDrop:
- The opportunity to receive exclusive tokens or rewards for active participation in Whitechain;
- Increasing your WB Soul profile level, which affects future drops or loyalty programmes;
- Complete transparency and connection to the Whitechain blockchain (all actions can be verified via Explorer).
- WB Soul Ecosystem is a concept of decentralised identity within Whitechain that connects users, projects, and applications into a single system. Each user receives a Soul ID — a digital profile that reflects their history of interaction within the ecosystem. It is used for:
- participation in SoulDrop and other reward programmes;
- confirmation of activity without the need to disclose personal data;
- reputation building in the Web3 environment, Whitechain.
The importance of Whitechain Mainnet for users and developers
Mainnet is crucial for both users and developers of blockchain projects, as it enables work with real transactions and digital assets.
For users, the main network is an environment where they can safely and efficiently perform operations: transfer funds, trade, invest, or interact with decentralised applications (dApps). Thanks to cryptographic algorithms and consensus mechanisms, the mainnet guarantees data integrity and protects assets from fraud or unauthorised access.
For developers, Mainnet is a key platform for deploying and testing innovative solutions. It allows them to create, test, and scale smart contracts and dApps focused on real-world use cases. A reliably operating mainnet increases user and investor confidence in the project by demonstrating its technical stability and economic viability, which contributes to the development of start-ups and attracts funding.
