In this article, you’ll learn about “Lite” mode — a simplified version of the WhiteBIT (Pro) mobile app. This mode was created specifically for those who are just starting out in the world of cryptocurrency and trading. At the same time, it will also be useful for experienced users who prefer a clean and intuitive interface.

Please note: “Lite” mode is available exclusively in the mobile app (iOS and Android) and is not supported in the exchange’s web version.

How do I change the mode?

You can select the interface both before logging in to the app and after logging in. If you haven’t logged in yet, the corresponding toggle button will be located at the top of the screen.

Note: For newly created accounts, the Lite interface is set as the default.

For logged-in users, you can switch modes at any time without having to log in or register again. The interface adapts instantly, and your transaction data and balances remain unchanged.

To switch from Pro to Lite mode, follow these steps:

1. From the Home page, go to Account.
2. Click “Switch” to WhiteBIT Lite mode.
3. Done!

How to switch from Lite to Pro:

1. In the Account menu, select “Switch” to Pro.
2. In the Explore section, change the mode at the bottom of the screen.
3. In the Balances section, tap the info icon next to WhiteBIT Pro.

Please note that the first tap on the toggle opens an info window with an overview of the selected mode’s features, while subsequent taps immediately change the interface mode.

What does the “Lite” mode include?

Home

• Icons in the header: profile/account icon, Balance, History, and Support.
• “Total Balance” panel: displays the available balance in the selected currency, daily profit or loss in percentage terms, as well as buttons for quick transactions: Receive (to view available deposit options), Send (to transfer or withdraw funds), and Convert (to quickly proceed to buying or converting crypto assets).

Note: All financial instruments use the exchange’s existing infrastructure — Lite mode simply simplifies navigation through them.

You can also swipe the top panel to the side — this allows you to access the Nova Card  interface or view the information window if the card hasn’t been activated yet.

• Transactions widget: a feed of recent activity that becomes available after your first balance top-up.
• “Get full access” checklist: an interactive section with tips on verification, funding, security settings, and ordering the Nova card.
• Popular Now: a list of current crypto assets with the option to instantly proceed to purchase them.
• Special promo cards: quick shortcuts to access the app’s key features.

Wallet

This section includes two key tabs:

• Balances: displays the overall status of assets, daily P&L, and portfolio structure. Assets are broken down by category (Main, Earn Fixed, and Earn Flex). To view locked balances (Spot, Collateral, Hold), you have to switch to the Pro version.
• Transactions: an expanded version of the Transactions widget from the Home screen, which includes additional filtering and search tools.

Please note: Earnings from the Earn Fixed and Earn Flexible programs are not displayed on the Transactions tab — you can find them in the All History section.

Explore

The Explore section serves as the main platform for learning and exploring the features of Lite mode.

• Quick-access buttons: “Explore Crypto,” “Buy,” “Convert,” “Balance,” and “History.”
• Convert: a tool for quickly performing conversion transactions.
• Auto-Buy/Auto-Invest: a feature for setting up recurring purchases.
• All Assets: a list of popular cryptocurrencies with the option to buy or exchange them instantly.

Earn

In this section, you can discover Earn opportunities, inspect active plans, or set up a new one.

Important: Plan availability may depend on your country of verification (KYC).

• Quick-access buttons: “Crypto lending” with statistics and action buttons to create a plan, “Balance,” and “History.”
• Available plans: Displays current subscription options (Fixed and Flex).

Buy Crypto/Convert

This section allows you to quickly purchase assets with fiat currency or perform an instant conversion. Its features are fully consistent with the Pro mode functionality.

What are the key operational details and nuances?

• Subaccount limitations: Lite mode cannot be accessed using email-authorized subaccounts.
• Locked balances (Spot, Collateral, Hold): These details are shown for reference only; switching to Pro mode is required to manage or execute actions on these funds.
• Home balance display: Assets held within the Earn program are excluded from the available balance shown on the Home screen.
• Transactions widget visibility: This section remains hidden until your first successful deposit is processed.
• Earn income tracking: Daily earnings from Fixed and Flex plans are recorded in “All History” rather than the “Transactions” tab.
• The “Get full access” checklist: it updates dynamically based on your progress, moving finished tasks to the bottom and collapsing once key actions are complete.
• Displaying promotional cards: Promotional cards for features like the Nova Card or Auto-Buy automatically disappear once those features are enabled.
• Nova Card activity: Card transactions are combined with crypto transfers, marked as “WhiteBIT Nova Card” under the transaction details “Type” column.
• Currency conversions & calculations: Total Balance figures are calculated in your selected currency via USDT/USDC pairs, whereas the Transactions tab reflects the specific currency and precise amount used.
