The transaction confirmation process is necessary to prevent the same funds from being spent more than once. As soon as a sender transfers funds, a transaction enters a network to be completed and included in a block. It is the process of adding the transaction to the structure of a found block which is called the transaction confirmation. One new subsequent block equals one confirmation. Once your transaction reaches a sufficient number of confirmations, it receives the "successful" status and is credited to your balance.

The confirmation process speed depends on various factors, such as network load, transfer fees, speed of your internet connection, etc. On average, it takes from 30 minutes to several hours for a transaction to be confirmed. However, sometimes it can take from 2 to 14 days if the network is overloaded. Please note that the number of confirmations required for actual depositing of funds is determined by every receiving platform individually, for each particular currency, according to its own security standards.
